Hardanger cloth is perfect for drawn thread work. Hardanger Embroidery is a combination of many disciplines of needlecraft including cutwork, drawn work, and needle weaving. Hardanger is an evenweave fabric that allows you to cut and withdraw threads. It has a double thread, but is worked like it is one thread. The warp threads run parallel with the selvage and the weft threads are perpendicular to the salvage.
